-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F101 - Causes & Fix
F101 means external storage failure in the drive. Factory reset via P053=2 fixes most cases. If fault returns, replace control module.
-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F100 - Causes & Fix
F100 (Parameter Checksum) means corrupted drive memory. Factory reset via parameter P053 set to 2 clears it in most cases.
-
Allen-Bradley F091 Encoder Loss - Causes & Fix
F091 means Encoder Loss on the PowerFlex 525 VFD. One of the two differential encoder channels is missing. Check wiring first.
-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F080 - Causes & Fix
F080 means autotune failure. The drive didn't learn the motor. Rerun autotune after checking motor wiring and removing any load attached.
-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F073 - Causes & Fix
F073 means EN Net Loss: the drive lost its EtherNet/IP control connection. Most often a loose or damaged Ethernet cable.
-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F072 - Causes & Fix
F072 means network option card communication lost. Most often: loose or damaged network cable. Check wiring, reseat card, verify switch.
-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F071 - Causes & Fix
F071 means DSI Net Loss: the drive lost Modbus/DSI control communication. Check and reseat communications cables first.
-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F070 - Causes & Fix
F070 means Power Unit Failure in the drive's power section. Check ambient temperature, then cycle power. If it returns, replace the drive.
-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F059 - Causes & Fix
F059 (Safety Open) means the drive's safety inputs are not enabled. Most often caused by missing safety jumpers or an open contact in the external safety chain.
-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F048 - Causes & Fix
F048 'Params Defaulted' means the drive reset itself to factory defaults. Clear the fault, then reprogram all motor and I/O settings.
-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F043 - Causes & Fix
F043 means Phase VW Short: excessive current between V and W output terminals. Most often caused by shorted motor leads or damaged cable.
-
Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 F042 - Causes & Fix
F042 means Phase UW Short: excessive current between output terminals U and W. Check motor leads and cable for shorts first.
