Bosch Rexroth hydraulic systems span Sytronix variable-speed pump drives, IndraDrive motion controllers, and electronic amplifiers for proportional/servo valves (VT-HACD, VT series).

Most Common Faults
VT Amplifier E04 - Solenoid Overcurrent
Rexroth VT series amplifiers continuously monitor solenoid current. A short or open in the valve coil wiring or in the coil itself trips E04. Measure the solenoid coil with an ohmmeter - standard proportional solenoids measure 4–25 ohms. Values near zero indicate a short; infinite indicates open.
IndraDrive F7010 - Encoder Feedback Fault
The IndraDrive requires clean, continuous feedback from the motor encoder. A failed encoder cable, damaged connector, or environmental contamination on encoder tracks generates F7010. Check the cable from the motor to the drive, especially near flex points and cable carriers.
F3102 - DC Bus Overvoltage
On hydraulic press axes, rapid deceleration regenerates energy back into the DC bus. If the brake resistor is undersized, missing, or has failed open, the bus voltage spikes to F3102. Check the brake resistor with an ohmmeter - a failed resistor reads open.
Sytronix Filter DP High
Rexroth Sytronix pump drives monitor system pressure and can display filter differential warnings. Replace the hydraulic filter immediately and consider an oil sample to check contamination class. ISO 4406 cleanliness codes should be verified after any filter bypass event.
